“I studied at the American Academy of Art in Chicago under the most able teachers though my education really started after leaving the Academy and I sought my own expression in Plein Air painting. I’ve exhibited my work in many shows and won awards. I have now discovered my greatest teacher: Mother Nature. My quest is endless in an attempt to capture the beauty that Nature so generously provides.”

Among Jerry's awards are a total of seven Arizona State Park Awards in 2007 and 2008, "Best Oil" award in the 2005 Sedona Arts Center's members show, and a second place in the same show the following year.
