Mariann Leahy
Ancient myths and symbols are clay artist
Mariann Leahy's inspiration. "My works combine
experience with and profound respect for nature
and images from the past," she says and further
states that "Clay coming from the earth, provides
for me a natural tactile connection with our
fragile world."
Mariann taught
art on the high school level for over 15 years
in Chicago where she did her graduate work in
ceramics at the School of the Art Institute.
Since moving to Sedona over 10 years ago, she
has taught workshops at the Sedona Arts Center. |
