Susan Hubble Pitcairn
Raised in Arizona, Susan originally majored
in art at the University of Arizona, later
studying oil painting with Tom Allen at Cabrillo
College and learning from pastel pioneer Kitty
Wallis. She also has a master's in psychology
and was a licensed counselor while becoming
proficient in aspects of residential, garden and
graphic design during 20 years in Eugene,
Oregon. Since moving to Sedona in 2006, Susan
has returned to art full time. She currently
shows at Canyons Gallery in Sedona, the Spirit
Art Gallery in Jerome, and at the Sedona Arts
Center where she won first place in professional
painting in both the 2007 and 2008 Members
Shows. Susan also placed nationally in the 2007
Paint the Parks competition and statewide in two
2007 Arizona State Parks Plein Air paintouts.
