 “Reflective Light” Exhibition at Sedona Arts Center

Illuminate your world with the “Reflective Light” Exhibition February 3 – 29, 2012 at Sedona Arts Center. Come experience the natural inspiration this month with works by Vince Fazio (Oil), Susan Kliewer (Sculpture, Oil), Jane Newman (Oil), and Karen Puckett (Jewelry). Join us for our opening wine reception February 3, 2012 from 5pm to 8pm at the Sedona Arts Center’s Fine Art Gallery in Uptown Sedona. Also, in our Special Exhibition Gallery, explore the world with a unique installment entitled “A Sense of Place” – the Field Expeditions Exhibition. Transport yourself across the globe with the works of students and instructors from field expeditions over the past two years both nationally and internationally from January 30 through February 15, 2012. This exhibition represents a group of students and instructors from the Sedona Arts Center’s last two years of Field Expeditions. Field Expeditions take us to new places - from the hypervelocity of the New York City experience to the rural pace of a villa in Tuscany. From the barrenness of Death Valley to the resort mood of Hilton Head Island, each place offers something unique that cannot be had without actually spending time there. That being said – ART gives us the gift of delving in at a deeper level than the mere tourist. Through various mediums we look harder at the details and distill from the experience – images – that become the quintessential and personal memory of that day and of that particular sense of place.
